Arcane Legends MMO May Deliver Groundbreaking Cross-Platform Play This Fall
Android and iOS users, living together...mass hysteria.
We don't know which type of coffee the developers at Spacetime Studios drink, but whatever it is, we need some. These guys are game-creating machines, pumping out MMOs at such a rapid pace, perhaps Blizzard should take some notes. We've already seen Pocket Legends, Star Legends and, most recently, Dark Legends. Now there's yet another massively-multiplayer online extravaganza on the way.
Called Arcane Legends, this fantasy MMO is on track for a fall 2012 release, and will hit iOS, Android and Chrome. What's especially intriguing about this title is the mention of cross-platform play, which will hopefully bring all three platforms together.
Beyond that, players will choose between a warrior, rogue or sorcerer, each of which possesses unique abilities and attacks. Party members can combine these talents for special team-up strikes, while a "rage meter" will help users deliver an all-powerful attack, so long as they have the patience to wait until said meter is full.
"With every Legends title we are focused on bringing something distinct to cross-platform gaming. With Arcane Legends we set out to create an action RPG with a clever and funny story, meaningful multiplayer gameplay and above all furious fast-paced tactical combat," said Gary Gattis, CEO, Spacetime Studios.
No screens or videos just yet, but there is an official Arcane Legends website that'll keep you updated with new info as soon as it becomes available. That said, we look forward to seeing what Spacetime Studios has up its collective sleeve.
