Dead Trigger Probes Boundaries Of iOS And Android Graphics
Madfinger Games' gorgeous first-person shooter features zombies and big, powerful guns. Yippie ki-yay.
Games like Dead Trigger have to make iOS and Android fans smile, then give the finger to console players convinced there's no future in mobile. Here we have a shockingly beautiful first-person shooter from Madfinger Games (of Shadowgun fame) that looks similar to Valve's Left 4 Dead series. Scratch that, it looks even better.
Coming soon to iOS and Android, this post-apocalyptic FPS sends gamers through a zombie-infested Earth, where they're free to follow the plot or enjoy a series missions where the developers encourage them to dream up new and exciting ways to decimate the undead, whether it means blowing off their heads, blasting their limbs or leaving them to simply bleed out. Not hard to do, as the game comes with such effective toys as the laser amputator, blade chopper, baits, mines, grenades and radar, along with a selection of bullet-spewing guns.
On top of that, the app comes with impressive rag doll effects, stats that tally kills by country and high-end motion capture. Of course, the coolest feature are the visuals (better have that Tegra 3-powered Android device handy), which cement Madfinger's status as one of the premier smart phone and tablet developers within the industry, at least when it comes to eye candy.
No release date yet, but we'll guarantee you this: we'll be all over this one.
