Monster Paradise Stakes A Claim In Suddenly Crowded Card Battle Genre
Collect and fuse over 500 monsters to become the ultimate trainer.
Apparently, word got out that iOS needed more card battle games, which explains why we already have several to choose from with new ones appearing on a monthly and even weekly basis. The newest is Monster Paradise, a free-to-play adventure that just debuted on the iPhone.
This mobile social card game is the result of a partnership with Aeria Mobile and Pokelabo, a leader in Japan's social market. Turns out, Monster Paradise is a fairly big hit overseas, where it's ranked in the top 20 the past three months.
"Aeria Mobile was established to deliver highly anticipated games like Pokelabo's smash hit to core gamers in the West," said Lan Hoang, Chief Executive Officer, Aeria Games. "Monster Paradise is the perfect maiden title for us, as it will truly resonate with the millions of fans of trading card-style RPG games."
In Monster Paradise, players attempt to restore peace between humans and monsters by fusing over 500 critters while exploring 60 in-game areas and completing more than 180 quests. They can team up with friends to defeat Dark Monsters, fight other Monster Trainers in PvP and enjoy a storyline with multiple characters. Sounds a lot like Pokemon, so if you enjoy Nintendo's mega franchise, Monster Paradise may be the closest you'll get to experiencing something like it on the iPhone.
