Asphalt 7: Heat Steers Its Way Into The iOS Top Spot
Arcade speedster had little trouble becoming the number one paid iPad game.
Asphalt 7: Heat has been available just under two days, and it's already made some noise. Gameloft just announced that its newest racing game grabbed Apple's Editor's Choice award for the week, and that's not all. Consider these stats:
-Top spot in the App Store's top paid apps rankings in 17 different countries on the iPhone.
-Top spot in the App Store's top paid apps rankings in 51 countries on the iPad.
-Top spot in the App Store's top paid games rankings in 47 countries on the iPhone.
-Top spot in the App Store's top paid games rankings in 57 countries on the iPad.
"We're thrilled to see the enthusiastic welcome Asphalt 7: Heat has received all over the world. Throughout development, our production teams have invested a great deal of passion and determination to bring technical and graphical innovation and to give life to the intensity of high-speed racing, while still delivering a compelling and engaging experience for everyone. The dazzling start of this latest instalment of Asphalt, a best-selling franchise with more than 50 million downloads since launch, crowns the series as the benchmark racing game for smartphones and tablets." said Julien Fournials, Senior Vice President Production at Gameloft.
Quite impressive. Sure, the game transforms the iPad into a makeshift George Foreman Grill, but what's a little heat between lovers?
