Asphalt 7: Heat Tracks- Built For High-Speed Thrills
Drive through a volcano, take a bite from the Big Apple and say hello to your comrades in Moscow.
Asphalt 7: Heat is one fine-looking video game. Its publisher, Gameloft, took this racing franchise to the next level, with plenty of eye candy that further blurs the line between console and mobile. It also helps that the developers embraced variety, not only with the cars, but also the 15 tracks. This is where the graphics shine the most, as you struggle to keep both eyes on the road while taking in the myriad of sights. With this in mind, here's a quick look at each of the game's exquisitely detailed locations.
Finally, a way to visit the Aloha State without the overpriced drinks and expensive hotels. There's no shortage of sun and palm trees on this track, so kick back and enjoy the warmth.
Raul Castro shouldn't object to your virtual tour through Cuba's capital city. Be on the lookout for shortcuts, along with a sailboat attempting to keep up with your chosen muscle machine.
Los Angeles, California
Normally, we turn up our noses at LA; the Lakers play there, after all. That said, we'll make a special exception with Asphalt 7, as the cars scream past the familiar Santa Monica Ferris Wheel, then fly off the track for some unexpected hydroplaning. If only driving in real LA was this interesting, and not a congested mess.
New York, New York
The City That Never Sleeps is very much awake in Asphalt 7. Blast through Times Square, and be on the lookout for a shortcut that takes you onto the train tracks.
This tropical destination is one of the game's more interesting tracks, mostly because you get to do a little underwater driving.
The City of Light doesn't get to show off, with the sun shining 24/7, but hey, you might catch a glimpse of the Eiffel Tower as you knock opponents off the road.
A little too industrial for our tastes, but this South American city still knows how to party.
Slip into some driving gloves and master the famous Japanese highways, then take a more peaceful tour through the park
In Moscow, track drives you. Moving on...
New Orleans, Louisiana
We expected Mardi Gras. Instead, Gameloft delivered a surprisingly tame and somewhat depressing New Orleans track, with this bridge being the main highlight. What do we have to do around here to get some beads?
From Iceland with love. Turn up the heat by driving into the very active volcano.
Easily one of the prettiest tracks in Asphalt 7. Be sure to give Big Ben a nod as you pass.
Skiing should be the last thing on your mind as you climb mountains and trade paint with your fellow drivers.
We hope you like neon. Much like London, we struggled to win races while gawking at this track's beauty. Excellent from start to finish.
If you see the Miami Heat's LeBron James, tell him us New York Knicks fans plan to give him a hard time next season.
