Left2Die Cheats And Tips
Introduce those nasty zombies to the business end of your flamethrower.
Left2Die is a third-person twin-stick shooter that lets you slaughter thousands of flesh-eating monsters. With the right weapon, you'll tear the undead a new one in no time, but don't charge into battle expecting a cakewalk. These zombies mean business, which is why we put together this Left2Die cheats and tips guide.
Know Your Zombies
Slow-moving grunt zombies aren't the only ones you'll need to worry about. That said, here are some of the enemies you'll face.
The Brute: Described as a "virtual tank", this big and beefy zombie charges through the environments attempting to cleave huge chunks of health from your hero.
Fierce Zombie: Stay frosty to avoid this fast-moving monster.
The Fatty: Decked in pink bunny slippers, this rotund creature wants to get just close enough to explode, sending its bile all over the place.
Burning Zombie: This zombie's on fire, and we don't mean like an NBA player.
The Spitter: You'll want to remain out in the open to dodge the Spitter's goo globs.
Experiment By Playing As Different Characters
The default adventurer is more than capable of surviving the zombie apocalypse, but don't be afraid to play as the other characters, all of which possess unique abilities. Think about that before heading into multiplayer matches.
Priest ($5,000): Revives allies, earns Special Weapon quicker than most characters.
Business Man ($15,000): Acquires more cash than usual.
Sheriff ($250,000): Increased damage and improved reload time.
SWAT Officer ($40,000): Has superior armor.
Commando ($75,000): Increased Super Weapon duration.
Doctor ($100,000): Heals himself, revives allies.
Mascot ($200,000): More health than most characters, stronger.
Make that UZI even more effective by boosting its ammo capacity, rate of fire and reload speed. Just keep in mind that upgrades cost money.
Purchase Weapons That Suit You
Left2Die has quite the arsenal, split into three categories: Primary, Secondary and Super (you can bring one of each into battle). As expected, each weapon costs a different amount of cash, and once you buy one, it's yours to keep.
Primary: Sawed Off Shotgun, UZI, MP5, Hunting Rifle, Pump Shotgun, AK-47, M24, SPAS-12, M4, Barret 50 Cal. Rifle, Boom-Bow, Saw Launcher.
Secondary: Baseball Bat, Beretta, Machete, Revolver, Desert Eagle, Laser Sword.
Super: Chainsaw, M60, Flamethrower, Grenade Launcher, Gatling Gun, Bazooka, Plasma Cannon.
Don't Waste The Super Weapon
It takes a while to charge the Super Weapon ability and it lasts less than a minute upon activation. With this in mind, make it count, preferably when you need it the most. Examples: Needing to kill a set number of zombies within a limited amount of time, when health is low, when there's no more ammo for primary weapon.
Never Stop Moving
Although Left2Die doesn't push a ton of zombies on-screen at once, those suckers can still gang up on you. Avoid backing into corners, and move around so enemies form groups. Makes them easier to kill from a distance.
Always Pick Up Dropped Items
Zombies sometimes leave things behind after dying (again), be it health, ammo, a speed boost or more cash. Don't leave it be. Grab this stuff pronto by simply walking into it.
Cheat By Purchasing More Cash
Depressed that you'll never be able to afford the $400,000 saw launcher? Surprise, you can, so long as you're willing to open the old wallet.
Cash: 25,000 ($0.99), 100,000 ($2.99), 250,000 ($4.99), 1,000,000 ($9.99), 5,000,000 ($19.99).
