Darksiders: Soul Harvest Creeps Onto iPhone And iPad
It'll swallow people's souls, but considering the aim of this app, that's a good thing.
Darksiders II drags players into limbo August 14, and to drum up even more interest in this promising adventure, THQ released a companion app for iPhone and iPad called Darksiders: Soul Harvest.
Available free of charge, Soul Harvest lets gamers collect the souls of people who check in around them via Facebook to unlock bonus content dealing with the big console and PC title. Not only does this include a powerful in-game weapon, but also the first issue of the Darksiders digital comic. Plus, in a weird move to keep the retail giant relevant, you can unlock souls faster while at Best Buy. Finally, you can enter and win prizes, like a full-sized Death Scythe, custom Xbox 360 and a trip to catch the end of the world on December 21st, 2012 at the Chicxulub crater; for more details, click here. Not sure about that last one.
