Half Of All U.S. And U.K. Mobile Gamers Prefer Smartphones And Tablets To Home Consoles
According to PopCap, there's a big reason why that PlayStation 3 is collecting dust.
Mobile devices often conjure images of people playing video games on the go, which is mostly true. PopCap, though, says that half of U.S. and U.K. mobile players prefer to enjoy smartphones and tablets at home on the couch, even with consoles and traditional handhelds within reach.
That's but a snapshot of the studio's recent survey that yielded plenty of juicy tidbits on mobile games. For instance, 10 percent of those polled admitted to playing in church, in a movie theater and worst of all, while driving. Four percent, meanwhile, play at the gym. We're guilty of that, for sure.
On that note, here's the full survey. Does any of this apply to you?
