Stock Up On Skybucks And Xplodium
If you play freemium games, then you already know the drill. Bombshells has two forms of virtual currency, and you'll need a lot of both to purchase the best gear. With this in mind, and if you don't have the patience to replay missions, consider splurging via in-app purchase.

Use Power-ups During Missions
While flying the unfriendly skies, you'll notice different colored icons. Passing through these power-ups will imbue your plane with various abilities, from increased health to super speed. Don't ignore them.
Recruit A Wingman
If you have Skybucks to spare, considering bringing a wingman along for the ride. These allies watch your back during a mission, and will help keep enemies off your tail. All of them come with different pieces of equipment and unique levels (determines how effective they'll be). Just keep in mind that you'll hire one of these pilots for one mission, and not the entire game.
Avoid Incoming Missiles
It's easy to get caught up with blasting bad guys, fully unaware the scumbags have returned fire. You'll know an enemy missile has been sent in your direction because the on-board radar will beep, with the number of beeps rapidly increasing as it moves closer. To dodge said missile, simply swipe the screen left or right to roll out of harm's way.
Make Sure You Have The Proper Equipment For The Job
Missions will be a lot tougher if you don't meet the suggested requirements for battle; for example, if a stage asks you to have a frost-based plane, missiles and guns. Check the symbols on the mission icon, then match them up with similar icons within your arsenal. If you don't have the required elements, purchase them. It'll definitely make things easier.
Replay Missions For More Xplodium
If you don't feel like paying for Xplodium, replay previously completed missions for more loot. It's the second fastest way to increase your virtual bank account without having to spend actual cash.
