Real Racing 3: EA Reveals Time Shift Multiplayer
Get ready for some asynchronous matches.
During Apple's iPhone 5 keynote, Electronic Arts and developer Firemonkeys revealed a new feature for the upcoming Real Racing 3 called Time Shift Multiplayer. This asynchronous mode lets users compete, not head-to-head, but at different times of the day. In other words, one person can race around a track on Monday, and the other player can beat their friend immediately afterwards, or days later.
In addition, and thanks to iPhone 5's powerful A6 chip, the game will benefit from realtime reflections and rear-view mirrors, marking the first time in the Real Racing series players can see behind their cars.
