VS. Racing 2 Cheats And Tips
Let us steer you to victory.
To look at it, VS. Racing 2 appears significantly less complex than other iOS driving games, like Real Racing 2 or Asphalt 7: Heat. While there's probably some truth to that, you'll continue to come in last without a basic understanding of what it takes to dominate those 36 tracks. For that, we have this VS. Racing 2 cheats and tips guide.
Unlock Achievements To Earn Coins
VS. Racing 2 has 27 achievements that range from completing the Tropical-themed tracks to drifting 500 meters (AKA 1,500 feet) in a single race. Unlocking each one results in 100 gold coins, so it's in your best interest to snag them all.
Complete In-Game Objectives For Coins
There's more to VS. Racing 2 than simply coming in first. You stand to gain more gold coins for completing a handful of tasks, like scraping opponents, overtaking cars and drifting. Definitely the easiest way to score more cash.
Follow The Arrow To Victory
If you go with the steering wheel controls, you'll notice a tiny greyish arrow near the hood of your car. Follow this arrow during a race instead of the car, as it'll be much easier to make turns.
Tip: Avoid tilt controls altogether. This makes the car too difficult to maneuver. The same can be said of pressing the left/right sides of the screen to steer.
Upgrade Your Car
The further you progress in the game, the tougher your opponents will be. That is, unless you spend some coins to increase the vehicle's Top Speed, Acceleration and Offroad handling.
Use Dirt To Your Advantage
Based on our experience playing VS. Racing 2, driving through dirt won't slow down your car. That being the case, use dirt patches near turns to quickly overtake other vehicles. The computer appears to have been programmed to stay on the road, more or less, giving you a distinct advantage.
Restart At Will
Losing a race? Destined to come in fourth? Always remember you can restart any time by pausing the game.
Pimp Your Ride Via In-App Purchase
The game's developers let you trick out your car with headlights, police sirens and different-colored tires. You can buy these goodies with coins (lots and lots of coins earned through several hours of play), or spend real-world cash, which amounts to $0.99 per item.
