Rebelstar GBA Goes Gold
Kick some alien ass this September
Namco announced today that its forthcoming Game Boy Advance title, Rebelstar: Tactical Command, has gone gold and is ready to be mass produced for retail. Developed by CODO Games, makers of X-Com UFO Defense, the game features a unique blend of turn-based strategy and RPG elements.
Taking place in the year 2117, the human race has reached a new pinnacle in its history, marking 70 years of captivity under an evil alien race known as the Arelian Empire. By assuming the role of a man named Jorel, players set out to begin the days of uprising as they lead a group of rebellious humans to thwart off their menacing alien oppressors.
Four different gameplay modes will be available, from the standard Campaign, to the shorter Skirmishes, and finally the two Multiplayer options (hotseat and link). The game plays out in familiar turn-based fashion, as players control a group of soldiers in turn-based combat, taking place in a many number of areas, both rural and urban.
Rebelstar: Tactical Command for the Game Boy Advance will be rated "E 10+" for Everyone ages 10 or older and will be available at retailers across North America this September. You can check out a few new screens of the title by visiting our media page.
