Dragon Story: New Dawn Cheats And Tips
Build a better fire-breather with our beginner's guide.
As we alluded to in our review earlier today, if you're familiar with Monster Story then you'll almost certainly feel right at home in Dragon Story: New Dawn. But what if you're brand new to these sorts of games? We've put together some basic tips to help you get your dragon hatchery off to a roaring start.
How can I hatch more eggs?
By default you'll receive one nest to hatch eggs on when you first start up the game. If you want to purchase more, and have multiple dragons hatching simultaneously, you'll need to head into the Market section of the interface, then Buildings. It'll cost you 250 Gold.
How can I make more money?
Besides checking in often to collect the money you've accrued, you can increase the amount you're generating by upgrading your dragons. You'll need to grow food at the farm to do this, but play the long game and you'll find yourself racking up plenty of cash.
Why can't I place a dragon in a habitat?
You have to match the color of the dragon to a habitat of the same color. Each dragon can live in different types of terrain but it must match the dragon's color. Note that some dragons are attuned to multiple habitats, so a Life dragon can live in a red or green habitat. Check the details of each dragon before hatching to make sure you have a suitable home for them.
How do I select a particular dragon?
Tap on a habitat and in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen you'll see the individual dragons. Tap on the dragon to view it in more detail, then feed it to level it up.
How do I level up dragons?
By feeding them. Once you've selected a dragon, you'll be able to feed it the produce you've been growing. If you run out of food, you'll have to head to your farm and select a new crop to grow. Try and keep a good balance between the number of dragons in play and the amount of food you're producing.
I can't level my dragon up further
Once an individual dragon reaches level 3, the only way to upgrade it further is by first sending it to an Evolution Temple. You'll need to build one of these sooner rather than later.
How often do I need to check my coins?
It depends on the habitat. Different habitats have different caps, and once the cap's been hit it won't store any more money for you. You'll need to tap on the habitat coin icon to get your earnings going again.
How can I expand my territory further?
You're going to need two things: money and space. We can't help you much with the former, but when planning your island do be very mindful of how much space your next object is going to take up. Be careful and tidy with your expansion to avoid having to clear out the local flora.
How do I evolve dragons
Using the Evolution Temple. Once you've fed a certain amount of food to a dragon, you'll see the word 'Evolve' appear on their profile. You'll need to purchase an Evolution Temple from the Market, place it, then go back to the dragon and hit that Evolve button.
What are breeding dens?
Put simply, this is a way of breeding dragons to create new eggs for free. You won't be able to build one until you're level 5, but you can put two of any color dragons together to create an entirely new creature using this love-nest.
