EA's FIFA 13 Launches On App Store
EA brings its biggest FIFA yet to iPhone and iPad
The new title in EA's soccer franchise, FIFA 13, has gone live on the Apple App Store for $6.99. The game adds online multiplayer for the first time on iOS, but it sidesteps Apple's GameCenter by using EA's own Origin service.
FIFA 13 for iOS features 500 licensed teams, 30 different leagues, a new touch control scheme, and supports Retina Display graphics, so those with a new iPad need not fret over their purchase. It's also a universal purchase on the App Store, so buying FIFA 13 unlocks the title on iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch. iCloud syncs your saves between each platform.
FIFA 13 supports iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 5, iPad, iPad 2, the new iPad, and the 4th-gen iPod touches. Unfortunately, the iPhone 5's larger screen is not supported. Players will be waiting for their download though, as FIFA 13 is a 1.36 GB install.
