Zaxxon Escape Pays Homage To 1982 Arcade Classic
Unless you're a classic game aficionado, there's a good chance Zaxxon's 30-year anniversary slipped your mind. It's OK. Sega's 1982 arcade game, praised for its isometric visuals, didn't necessarily achieve rock star status within the industry, but the impressive title still commands respect. On that note, the publisher hopes to introduce newcomers to the IP with a sequel for iOS and Android called Zaxxon Escape.
Whereas the first entry used the aforementioned isometric camera angle, this one places the perspective directly behind the ship, as players seek to guide the spacecraft through narrow corridors. Unfortunately, Sega intentionally left much of this game a mystery, releasing a teaser that does just that, teases us to no end.
