Monster Kingdom PSP Revealed
From the makers of Shin Megami Tensei comes a game with an easy to pronounce title
The latest issue of Japanese magazine Famitsu has reported that video game developer Gaia has announced that it is currently working on a new title for the Sony PSP. Called Monster Kingdom: Jewel Summoner, the title is being produced by Kouji Okada, creator of the Shin Megami Tensei series and founder of the company, and is set to be published by Sony Computer Entertainment.
The article outlines that the game will be of the RPG genre and take place wholly in a fantasy realm. By taking on the role of a Jewel Summoner named Vyse, players will have the ability call forth various monsters to their aid once they have been changed to a jewel form. After an unfortunate act of murder, players will begin their adventure to find the killer of Vyse's mother.
Over 100 monsters have been mentioned to appear in the game, with various other Jewel Summoners joining forces with Vyse throughout his quest. Though specifics on the battle system have yet to be outlined, an Ad-Hoc connectivity option is promised to be included in the final game, allowing players to exchange monsters with their friends.
Monster Kingdom: Jewel Summoner for the Sony PSP is currently scheduled to arrive in Japan sometime this Winter, with a possible North American release to be announced.
