Plague Inc. Set For Infectious New Update
Plague of the Necroa Virus due in February.
Fans of Plague Inc. are in for a meaty update next month, according to an update from Pandemic Creations this morning.
Version 1.5, titled Plague of the Necroa Virus, will introduce a new sort of infection to the popular epidemic simulator. Infected victims won't just perish of the necrotic disease, they'll come back from the dead to carry on the good infection work for you.
Humanity will reportedly respond to this crisis with a new disease-fighting organization known as 'Z Com' that will create fortresses to stave off the approaching undead. A new gameplay mechanic will also be introduced to help players take control of the zombie apocalypse. As well as this new content, Plague of the Necroa Virus will also introduce some new UI enhancements, additional achievements and events, and localization for French, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese languages.
The localizations and enhancements will be free for existing players, but you'll need to pay $1.99 to make use of the Necroa virus. If you've somehow managed to complete the game on its Brutal difficulty setting though, you won't have to pay a cent.
