Gun Bros 2 Cheats And Tips
Hints that will keep you alive. For how long is up to you.
Glu Games just released Gun Bros 2 on the App Store, and this iPhone and iPad sequel comes with hours of dual-stick blasting fun. After choosing either Percy or Francis, you'll set out to battle the evil T.O.O.L. army and blow its minions to pieces, thanks to a wide assortment of cool weapons and MODS. Heck, you'll even get to ride in a hover tank. That said, it's easy to come out guns blazing and get overwhelmed by all those monsters swarming the screen. Follow these tips, and you might make it out alive. Maybe.
-Play solo, and the computer controls the other player. This isn't the best way to go, as the A.I. dies rather quickly. You'll achieve more success playing alongside a friend via co-op. In theory at least.
-The Honey Badger hover tank eventually explodes. Bad news? You lose the tank. Good news? The resulting explosion damages nearby enemies.
-Keep an eye out for supply drops, AKA the Honey Badger tank. You'll need to move to its location, designated by a yellow exclamation point that appears on screen.
-Collect crates whenever possible. They contain a bunch of collectible items.
-Use yellow jump pads to make quick escapes. Just don't expect to be safe for long, since enemies appear all over the place.
-Beware explosive barrels. Although these dangerous items prove useful in blowing up bad guys, you'll take damage for being too close.
-You can equip up to three MODS per weapon. Find MODS while playing Campaign Mode.
-To successfully equip a MOD, you must match its power level (PWR) with your weapon's power level or exceed it by leveling up the gun.
-To learn more about MODS, check out the full list in the Collections menu. You can view info on MODS you haven't unlocked yet.
-You can always sell unwanted gear at the Armory. It's a great way to score Xplodium and War Bucks in a hurry.
-Some enemies come equipped with either Purple, Red or Blue barriers, making them tougher to kill. To gain the advantage, change the barrier color at the Armory.
-Before accepting a mission, pay attention to the mission briefing, which informs you of the enemy's barrier color.
-Replay missions to earn more virtual currency and achieve gold, silver or bronze stars.
-The game always displays a recommended weapon before you accept a mission. You'll find this info in the Top Secret section of the mission briefing.
-Avoid backing yourself into a literal corner with no means of escape.
-Never stop shooting and moving.
-Equip helms, armor and pants/shorts to increase your character's stats.
-Low on Xplodium and/or War Bucks? You can always buy more by clicking the top right portion of the screen.
-Visit the Black Market for deals on weapons and other specials. Some will only be available for a limited time.
-Speaking of limited time items, consider the Elite Bonus Pack. If you purchase 200 War Bucks or more, you'll score this bundle free-of-charge. Inside, you'll find a 720 PWR Piranha Gnaw Gun, Malware Armor and Rambro Armor.
-If you don't revive upon death (seven War Bucks), you will lose all collected items for that particular level.
-Endless Mode is a great opportunity to stock up on Xplodium.
