Anomaly 2 Features Giant Battle Mechs, New Multiplayer Mode
Sequel to one of the best tower defense games en route.
Developer 11bit Studios spent the past several days teasing fans with a secret game that turned out to be Anomaly 2, sequel to the critically acclaimed Anomaly: Warzone Earth and more recently, Anomaly Korea. Those titles received praise for putting users in control of convoys making their way through alien-infested streets. Anomaly 2 continues this tradition, except its units transform into war mechs, heavily armed robots capable of pulverizing the opposition.
As we've learned, the game takes place on Earth in the year 2018. With the planet overrun with aliens, humans scramble across a frozen world in search of supplies. Your job is to lead the convoy to safety through tactical planning that will involve utilizing those mechs to make it out alive.
In addition, Anomaly 2 features a multiplayer mode based around tower defense versus tower offense. One person will control the convoy, while the other will attempt to stop it.
No word on platforms just yet, though considering this series' roots, iOS and Android seem like a safe bet.
