RAD Soldiers Party In Rio Update Sends Players To Brazil
Brazil's Rio de Janeiro worked for Rovio's Angry Birds, so why not Warchest Limited's RAD Soldiers? As it turns out, the developers are currently hard at work on a massive update that not only adds a brand-new location to the critically acclaimed strategy game, but also additional soldiers, weapons and a revamped single-player experience. In other words, it's time to get excited.
First and foremost, the update will contain six maps inspired by Rio de Janeiro, and there appears to be a fun mix of stages designed for ranged and close quarters combat.
This ties into the redesigned solo campaign that incorporates your friends. Select a city and mission pack, and the game will display a new Challenge map that lists your current progress and also your friends'. Prepare to wage war in nine missions in the following three maps: Beach, Favela and Old Town. On top of that, there will be expansion sets, nine missions in three Brazilian maps (Lapa, Centro and Construction), and Biggest Ben locations set in London (Westminster, Embankment and Suburbs).
From there, we have more units, like Tito Tesla and Tree Mendez. Tito packs a teleport grenade and Electri-fryer sniper rifle, while Tree makes a mess with his Trunkquilizer and Lumber Numberer axe. On a side note, medics can now use a Spray'n'Pray SMG for five squad points.
Finally, you can expect bug fixes, improved artificial intelligence and balancing tweaks. That said, there appears to be a lot to love about this Party in Rio, and we look forward to the invite. Expect a release soon.
