State of Emergency 2 Confirmed for PSP
Take chaos, panic, and destruction wherever you go
DC Studios revealed today that it has finally acquired a US publisher for its thoroughly delayed and long awaited action game, State of Emergency 2. A former property of Viz Entertainment, this sequel to the chaotic beat-em-up released on consoles back in 2002 will be receiving the portable treatment this time around by way of Sony's PSP.
The title is said to contain a host of new features over its predecessor, such as the implementation of vehicles (both grounded and aerial), and extensive control over an entire gang. Spanning 12 missions in length, the story will follow the events generated by a fellow named Spanky MacNeil (seen in the first game) as he continues to fight alongside the Freedom Movement in their attempts to demolish The Corporation.
Various arcade challenges have been confirmed to appear in the final game, along with a multiplayer mode for up to four players. However, specific details on the method by which the PSP version's multiplayer will be enabled have not yet been clarified.
State of Emergency 2 for the PSP is scheduled to hit stores later in the fall of 2006.
