Man Of Steel Mobile Game Coming To iOS And Android June 14
Don't kneel before Zod.
Zack Snyder's highly anticipated Man of Steel film arrives in theaters June 14, and Warner Bros. will seek to compliment the movie with a video game of the same title for iOS and Android. Developed by Phosphor Games, fresh off World War Z, Man of Steel is a 3D beat-em-up that pits Superman against General Zod and his Kryptonian forces, both on the ground and in the air.
"The Man of Steel game allows Superman fans to extend the movie experience and game on-the-go with their favorite characters from the 'Man of Steel' film," said Greg Ballard, Senior Vice President, Mobile, Social and Emerging Platforms, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. "Phosphor Games delivered an addictive brawler that lets players feel the power of being a Super Hero."
That said, the game will ship with two modes. Story Mode sends players to the Kent Farm, Smallville and other popular locations as Superman contends with Zod. Meanwhile, Survival Mode throws gamers into what appears to be a never-ending fight for survival, where they can upgrade skills and post scores to leaderboards.
Superman has had a rough history with video games, so we hope Man of Steel breaks the curse. Look for it next week at the following prices: $2.99 for iPhone and iPod Touch, $4.99 for iPad, $4.99, $4.99 for Android.
