New Details on PSP GPS
Plus an e-mail client coming soon
Since the first showing of the prototype at E3 2004, we've heard next to nothing concerning the details of Sony's planned GPS peripheral for the PSP. But an article in the most recent edition (March) of video game mag PSM has shed new light on the situation, stating that the device is indeed on course for a release sometime this year.
For those who are interested in adding navigation to their handheld, you need only to attach the peripheral to the console's USB 2.0 port and throw in the packaged UMD containing the software.
Furthermore, PSM's report also gives mention to an upcoming firmware update which will apparently add an e-mail client to the console, called Sony Mail. Using the unique ID number assigned to each PSP, users will create a identifiable name to associate with their handheld's number.
