Boktai DS Latest Info
Out with the real sun, in with the artificial
I'm sure many of you remember Konami's Boktai as the Game Boy Advance title that you just couldn't play properly with an emulator. But for those of us who prefer not to dabble in the dark and mystical arts of piracy, we remember sitting outside in the sun, GBA solar sensor properly in use.
But the uniqueness of the bizarre 2D isometric vampire hunting handheld title will be changed somewhat for its debut on Nintendo's DS, as we will no longer have to brave the sunny skies and fresh air of the often intimidating outdoors in order to properly play Konami's latest.
In place of the real sun, the developers have given us an artificial sun, which will be displayed in-game on the system's top screen, constantly shining precious light on the game taking place below. And just like the real sun, eventually our artificial buddy will set off in the horizon, providing us with perpetual moonlight. That, and an increased number of vampires.
We don't know much else about Boktai DS at this time, other than it appears to sport the same 2D engine seen in the GBA titles. The game currently does not have a release date, but we'll keep you updated on that front.
