Sorry, kids, this bubble has burst.
Well, Bob and Bub have had their history of great games, namely in the Bust a Move and Bubble Bobble series. But, on handhelds, they've rarely seen success. The N-Gage already got a botched edition of Puzzle Bobble to its discredit, and now MForma has somehow screwed up the Taito classic info something absolutely unplayable. I mean, I couldn't even have fun with this game by accident.
Bubble Bobble lets you take one of these happy dinosaurs and go stage by stage, trapping enemies in bubbles and popping them to collect fruit and letters in the word "EXTEND" in order to earn an extra life. Yeah, like you'd want an extra life with such a lackluster product. Graphics are bland and don't really capture the true look of the game; the sound is horribly wrong and even the classic Bubble Bobble theme is no more; and the gameplay is so horrid and slow that it's almost unreactive, to the point that you don't really care to do anything.
All I have to say is stop. Stop, MForma. Before you screw up something like Elevator Action or Bust a Move or another Taito classic that's undeserving of your menacing home ports. Leave these guys alone and produce a work of worthiness, instead of a time-wasting download that poops all over the arcade classic like dino droppings.
What's Hot: Based on the classic arcade game.
What's Not: Slow, terrible gameplay; bland graphics.
