Tokyo Jungle Releasing For PlayStation Mobile Today
When Tokyo Jungle was released for PlayStation Network earlier this year, it introduced a bizarre concept - with humanity wiped out, animals overtook large cities seeking to dominate others to become kings of the urban jungle. The downloadable game turned out to be a modest hit for Sony, prompting the company to give it a secondary release on the mobile front.
Tokyo Jungle will debut on PlayStation Mobile today for $2.99. The game will be compatible with both PlayStation Vita and certified Android devices.
Rather than taking place in a 3D world like the original, this version of Tokyo Jungle uses an overhead view so you can keep an eye out for enemies to overtake and territory to dominate. You'll also be able to choose from a variety of animals, including dogs and pigs.
This edition doesn't come with a story mode, but includes a survival mode where you'll fight against hordes of animals in an effort to stay alive. For three bucks, you'll certainly get your money's worth.
The game will be available later today. We posted video of the original to give you an idea what to expect.
