NBA 2K14 Cheats And Tips: Ten Teams You Need To Play As
Though it's not quite as smooth as its console cousins, the mobile edition of NBA 2K14 is more than capable of delivering its fair share of basketball thrills. However, you can't expect to dominate the paint with every team - that just wouldn't be realistic. Some teams, like the Toronto Raptors and the Milwaukee Bucks, leave a little something to be desired when going up against a quality team.
So, who should you start with? We've got a top ten list of teams that will be right up your alley, especially if you're just getting started with the game.
10. Denver Nuggets
Though George Karl is no longer their leader (he was dismissed as head coach earlier this year), this team still has a lot of energy behind it, especially with the likes of Ty Lawson and Kenneth Faried leading the squad.
9. Houston Rockets
The Hakeem Olajuwon era is over, but that doesn't mean this team can't go places. They maintained a solid 45-37 record last season, and have Dwight Howard joining the squad for the 2013 season. They're certainly taking off and are a quality team to take charge of in the game.
8. New York Knicks
No longer the joke of Madison Square Garden, the Knicks have picked up quite a bit over the years, with the likes of Carmelo Anthony and Amar'e Stoudemire leading the squad. Don't count New York out until you've played 'em.
7. Golden State Warriors
These guys were the underdogs of the playoffs last year, and well appreciated at that. They've got some hot shooting talent in close range and three point range, and with Andre Iguodala signed on, they're only going to get better.
6. Oklahoma City Thunder
This is Kevin Durant's show, and he's welcome to it. These guys did very well over the past couple of years, and they're only going to get better, especially if Durant has another stellar year.
5. L.A. Clippers
At one time, the Lakers were the hot team in Los Angeles. The guard has changed since then though, with Blake Griffin, Chris Paul and the rest of the team living up to the hype, and then some.
4. Indiana Pacers
Even though Reggie Miller isn't with the squad anymore, the Pacers are a force to be reckoned with, between Solomon Hill, Roy Hibbert and Chris Copeland drawing big numbers. Throw in a strong three-shooting percentage and you can't lose.
3. Chicago Bulls
Derrick Rose is finally returning to the squad, and should make a huge difference for them as they enter their 2013 season. With a talented team that maintained a good record last year - without Rose, mind you - they should be even better.
2. San Antonio Spurs
Even though they didn't get the job done in terms of championship, the Spurs are still more than just an idle threat. Tim Duncan and the crew can dominate the court both inside and outside.
1. Miami Heat
Number one, they're the champs. Number two, LeBron's the star of the game. Number three, they're sensational on the court, especially once Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh get on a hot streak. These guys are definitely the way to go when it comes to winning games.
