Monster Adventures Cheats and Tips
Fans looking for an alternative to Nintendo's Pokemon franchise will find a lot to like in Foursaken Media's Monster Adventures. It's a game packed full of creatures to level, and enemies to fight - both out in the wild and in the brutal arena.
With that in mind, we've put together some helpful hints and tips that will get your adventures off to a flying start.
How do I get better monsters in Monster Adventures?
It's going to take a while to get your hands on the most powerful monsters, but it's time well spent. First you'll be introduced to the local villagers you'll be dealing with, including a wizard who sells elements, a guy running a market, and several others. As you work your way around, you'll find your first monster - a water-based turtle creature - that you'll fight with from the beginning.
It also takes time to earn the coins you need to help your monster grow - not to mention capture new ones with the net you're provided. It's not impossible though. After the first couple of hours, you'll have enough money to level up your creatures and expand the abilities of the new ones you capture.
How do essences work in Monster Adventures?
Once you've purchased an essence, you can use it to add weapons to your current character - stabbing claws, for example, or projectile weapons. If your defenses are weak, you can use them to increase your armor or shielding.
How do abilities work in Monster Adventures?
Abilities affect what attacks you can use on enemies, both active and passive. You can switch through these at any time, but you can only use four abilities, so choose carefully.
How do elementals work in Monster Adventures?
Elementals allow you to change the nature of your monster, from water to fire and back again. These are costly though, as you'll need to locate - or buy - orbs to get hold of them. They're quite useful when it comes to battling certain enemies though, particularly in the monster coliseum.
Do I have to pay real money to play Monster Adventures?
The in-game purchases are optional, but in some cases, you might be required to put down a few dollars. This is mainly when it comes to those orbs which allow you to change the elemental nature of your monster, should a battle require it. Otherwise you can earn a fairly good amount of currency just by grinding through battles in the wilderness, and - once you become strong enough - going for broke in the coliseum.
How do I challenge my friends in Monster Adventures?
There's a guy wandering around the village who can check to see which of your friends are available for play in either co-op or versus multiplayer. Both modes are pretty good fun, although nothing beats going head-to-head against a friend's top-tier monster.
Here's a word of advice, though. Don't battle against your friends in the coliseum until you've gained enough experience and abilities. Going in light-handed with just one type of attack will leave you easily defeated. The last thing you want is a losing streak behind you when it comes to going up against others.
