NBA General Manager 2014
On the road to an NBA title.
NBA General Manager 2014 - Cheats And Tips | Review
With the NBA season days from kicking off, the timing for NBA General Manager 2014 couldn't be better. This simulation puts you in the shoes of a GM charged with guiding an NBA franchise to victory or defeat, with decisions on and off the court.
â¨This game takes a technical approach compared to NBA 2K14, but balances all the aspects needed for behind-the-scenes management, including bankroll, making a play for free agents and tweaking line-ups.
The Good
This sim does a great job covering all the aspects of a general manager. The interface is very user-friendly, as you keep track of everything with the touch of a button. It's also enjoyable improving teams with new players and key assets, if you can get them.
In addition, General Manager 2014 comes with social interaction. Not only can you challenge players for key victories - leveling up in the process - but you can also sign up friends as fans. It's a good way to rally support.
The Bad
NBA General Manager 2014 feels basic. You run through the same motions simulating games without seeing them in action. You also see the same menus repeatedly, with barely any animations.
On top of that, the freemium system may require you to put down cash to recharge your playing meter or add funds to acquire key players and NBA legends. It's not an unfair system, but may feel like a hurdle to achieving success.
The Verdict
Despite minor problems, NBA General Manager 2014 provides a good take on the behind-the-scenes side of the sport. Still, it doesn't put on a show like NBA 2K14.
