Kayak and Synergix Birth Blaze
A new mobile company with aggressive 2006 plans...
Mobile publisher Kayak Interactive and European subsidiary Synergix Interactive announced today that both companies have intergrated operations, and has been rebranded as Blaze. Kayak acquired Synergix in February 2005, but for the past year the European company continued to operate under the Synergix name. Formally-independent mobile development house Chasma has also been intergrated into Blaze.
"Blaze represents the culmination of three mobile game pioneers," said Blaze President and CEO Keith McCurdy. "As the mobile game market continues to expand rapidly, we believe it is critical to step forward with a strong, united identity that resonates with consumers as well as licensing and distribution partners."
The company also outlined its plans to "aggressively build" on its portfolio of mass-market mobile games by releasing a total of four titles utilizing the Da Vinci Code license, as well as offering more MTV and VH1 licensed titles.
