Zombie Killer Squad Cheats And Tips
We'll help you get from your next race against the undead.
Zombie Killer Squad provides an interesting take on the endless runner genre, giving you the opportunity to mow down zombies with a shotgun, while you collect coins and avoid obstacles. Here are all of our top tips for getting the most out of the game.
How can I get more bullets in Zombie Killer Squad?
There are two ways. You can either purchase ammunition directly for around 950 to 3,000 coins - depending on how many you need - or you can kill zombies and pick up any shells that they leave behind- around 50 or so.
For our money, picking up shells is the way to go. We haven't run short on our runs yet, and you'll eventually come across more to keep you going on your killing spree. If you do run out of ammo, simply avoid zombies however you can - by moving out of the way or jumping - until you restock.
How do mounts work in Zombie Killer Squad?
Mounts are temporary animals that help you get a speed boost - and shield you to take a crucial extra hit - on your run. Each character has a different mount, like Luke with his burro or Syndicate with his motorcycle.
You'll also gain access to extra ones, like ravens and bulls. These don't last as long as your usual ride, but they do give you some extra oomph when fighting back against zombies. The bull itself is our favorite though, due to its unstoppable goring ability, while the raven rises above the pack to give you extra distance.
Can I take out multiple enemies at once in Zombie Killer Squad?
Yep. Although you will need to reload on occasion - and watch your ammunition supply - you can fire multiple shots in succession simply by tapping the screen while you're in your current row. Done right, you'll leave a lot of zombie carnage in your wake - and collect a few coins for good measure. You can also collect stray coins left on the track, although some will require some tricky jumping.
How does the Magnet power-up work in Zombie Killer Squad?
Pretty much as you'd expect. Picking up one of these will causes coins to flow towards your character for several seconds, saving you the burden of moving from side-to-side to get them. If you can, try and increase your Magnet Duration in the shop. It'll cost you 2000 points to start off, but it's more than worth it if you really want to clean up on coins in the long-term.
How do I escape the zombie chasing from behind in Zombie Killer Squad?
Don't fret. Even though you can't shoot behind your character, you'll be able to outrun this thing with ease. Just avoid crashing anywhere on the level for a few seconds, and you should eventually lose it. However, if you stumble on an object, he'll show up again - so just repeat the process and you'll be able to give him the slip.
What characters are available in Zombie Killer Squad?
There are three pretty similar characters in all. The first one that's available at the start of the game is the nerdy Luke, who's pretty fast on his feet and carries a decent amount of shotgun shells. The other two, Syndicate and Seananners, are locked at first, but can be purchased for either 100,000 in-game coins, or for $.99 a pop.
The differences between them come down to the preferred mode of mounted transport. Syndicate comes with a motorcycle and Seananners with a mighty cat. As for Luke, he's stuck with a burro.
Do I need to pay to unlock anything in Zombie Killer Squad?
Along with the two other characters - who you might be tempted to unlock if Luke gets on your nerves - there are a number of options you can invest in, including extra mounts, bullets, and increased duration on power-ups.
The only way to purchase them at the moment is with in-game coins. There is an option to turn in bones to purchase more coins, but at the time of our review the Tombstore - where you can supposedly could buy more with real cash - is empty. The developers may fix this with an update in the future. Meanwhile, you can purchase the two characters through direct in-game purchases for $.99 apiece.
Is there any way to get your characters to shut up in Zombie Killer Squad?
There's always the volume button. Believe us, we've used it.
