Pocket Avenger Cheats And Tips
Though it's unlikely to win any awards for originality and longevity, Pocket Avenger is a fun enough little run-and-gun action game that gives you the opportunity to mow down zombies aplenty, whether with heavy firepower or using a trusty old chainsaw.
Here are some answers to questions you may have about getting started in the game.
Are there any major differences between the characters in Pocket Avenger?
All of the characters you can choose from play identically to one another. There's no advantage to picking one over another beyond cosmetic appearances.
How does the gameplay work in Pocket Avenger?
The main thing you need to worry about is jumping. Speed is automatically handled for you, and you'll automatically fire any weapons you possess at enemies that appear on the screen. You can switch weapons if you're carrying more than one, and use the chainsaw optionally when the situation calls for it.
Mostly, though, you'll want to time your jumps so that you clear large gaps across platforms and don't land right in front of a zombie before you get a chance to fire. Practice makes perfect, and later levels will require you to time your jumps perfectly to avoid falling to your death. The longer you hold down your finger on the screen, the larger your jump is.
How can I upgrade my character in Pocket Avenger?
There are three options available. A security guard outfit gives you 50 percent additional hit points, a SWAT outfit provides stronger HP, and a Santa Claus outfit for the hell of it. If you're looking to last longer against tough enemies, the security guard and SWAT costumes would serve you well.
What weapons are available in Pocket Avenger?
There are several guns to choose from in the game. The Handgun you start out with - the gold Glock - gives you extra accuracy. The Machine Gun has a higher firing rate and more ammunition, the gold MP5-3 doubles the original's firepower, and the Bow lets you shoot even the strongest enemies with deadly accuracy.
Which is the best weapon to use in Pocket Avenger?
Out of all of these weapons, the Machine Gun is the best, although you're likely to go through bullets quickly if you have an enemy that's on the run. Try to keep it as a back-up weapon instead.
How can I upgrade weapons in Pocket Avenger?
You can purchase upgrades for a pre-set amount of coins, which increases your bullet count and accuracy. You can use in-game funds earned over the course of each mission, or plunk a few real dollars down to purchase them. It's your call.
What research items are available in Pocket Avenger?
Only two, but they're good ones. You start out with the first one, the chainsaw, which you can upgrade to increase its lasting power. The second, however, is the Giant, a huge behemoth that crushes everyone in its path. You'll need to reach level 2 or higher in order to unlock it, but it's worth it.
What armor upgrades are available in Pocket Avenger?
Armor helps you last longer against hits and enemy damage. You'll start with the Holster Vest, which gives you 20 additional health points and can be upgraded in values of 20.
There's also the Interceptor Armor, which stops bullets and has three times the health value of the Holster Vest. The Tactical Vest, which is thinner but a lot more resistant to damage is good too, but the best of the bunch is the Improved Tactical Vest which has a health value of 300. Use this during the later missions if you can.
How do I earn quest bonuses in Pocket Avenger?
These are a list of challenges that you can complete over the course of the game to earn additional dollars, such as completing 10 missions with three stars and knocking off 100 zombies from a high place. The more you complete, the more you clean up.
How do multiplayer events work in Pocket Avenger?
These are special events that require group efforts to complete, such as killing the nearly unstoppable Venom (who is impossible to destroy on your own), and the Xmas Gift. Doing so will net you the use of the Bow during any part of the game, as well as that fancy Xmas outfit.
