Crytek's The The Collectables Comes To iOS And Android In 2014
Explosive free-to-play shooter developed in conjunction with DeNA.
Crytek, the developer behind the Far Cry franchise and Ryse: Son of Rome, partnered with DeNA to create The Collectables, a free-to-play third person shooter set to arrive on iOS and Android devices in 2014.
Built using the company's CRYENGINE technology, the attractive game sends players across the globe as they hire a variety of unconventional soldiers to create a squad of misfits, charged with killing bad guys in different locations.
"DeNA offers unparalleled experience in the mobile gaming space, and we're excited to be collaborating with their team to deliver The Collectables to players," stated Paha Schulz, Director of Business Development, Games-as-a-Service at Crytek. "The Collectables will be the first free-to-play mobile game that leverages Crytek's cutting-edge 3D game technology CRYENGINE."
From what we've seen in the game's jaw-dropping trailer, The Collectables has no shortage of big-time explosions, beautiful scenery and enemies to blast. There's no release date, but you can pre-register here to gain access to an exclusive version of in-game character Reload, complete with limited-edition gear.
If this is what we have to look forward to next year, we can't wait for 2014.
