Jet Car Stunts 2 Cheats And Tips

Our guide to getting the most from your next joyride.

Jet Car Stunts 2 - Cheats And Tips | Review

Jet Car Stunts 2 isn't your typical racer. Instead, think of it as a stunt platforming game, one where you have to cross through checkpoints by any means necessary, whether through finesse racing or airborne flight. It'll take a lot of work to get all the gold medals, but true enthusiasts will find the challenge more than worthwhile.

Here are some tips to help get you started in the game.

How do the controls work in Jet Car Stunts 2?

There are three main buttons you'll work with on the touchscreen - accelerator, brake/reverse, and the afterburner. You'll use the accelerator for general gas and the brake to get out of a tight spot, or to stop from going over a ramp unprepared, while the afterburner will give you an additional boost of speed while you're in the air.

What's important about the afterburner is the gauge. You'll see a fuel gauge that appears just above your car's display, colored orange. Once this runs out, you're going to run out of boost, so use it sparingly. Also, when you're on the ground, avoid using afterburners unless you're headed towards a ramp. Otherwise, you could have a collision with a wall that will spell the end of your vehicle.

As for steering, you'll tilt your device to guide your car left and right. When flying, you'll also tilt it downwards and upwards to control your verticality. This will come in handy in the later levels, when you have to reach a lower or higher platform.

How do I beat certain tracks in Jet Car Stunts 2?

Practice, practice, practice. The good thing about Jet Car Stunts 2 is that you can try levels again for better completion times and, if you haven't earned them yet, medals. You'll have the opportunity to retry levels, or you can start over from the very beginning. This will help you get used to courses in the game, so don't hesitate to try them more than once.

1

How do I earn gold medals in Jet Car Stunts 2?

The gold medals can be tough to earn, especially on the medium and hard difficulty settings. These set some certain precedents that must be met, like using a limited amount of fuel, or getting to the finish in a certain amount of time.

A word of advice - take a trial run with your car at first and use a few restarts if necessary. Once you think you know the course inside and out, quit the track entirely and then go back in. You'll start fresh, and once you complete it, you'll earn a gold medal in no time. Using resets will dwindle your chance of getting one, so just start again.

How do I fly a car in Jet Car Stunts 2?

There will be sections of the game where you have no track at all, and have to fly through checkpoints or reach the other side in one piece. This is where practice really comes into play. Use your tilt controls to get the hang of your vehicle, and memorize where you're supposed to land. Nailing the landing is everything, because otherwise you'll end up in a wreck that will force you to restart, or at the very least cost you a few seconds in the race.

Get used to the controls of your car, and, eventually, you'll be able to perform barrel rolls and fly through all the checkpoints, and land perfectly on the other side. It'll take time, so be prepared.

2

Do I need to pay for anything in Jet Car Stunts 2?

The base game - in which you have access to ten tracks on three difficulty settings - is free of charge. However, to unlock the rest of it, which includes 120 challenges in all and a free arena where you can drive around like crazy, you'll need to pay for the Mega Pack.

For $4.99, you'll unlock everything the game has to offer, including additional tracks, cars and the stunt arenas. If you prefer, you can pay for individual packs, including Freestyle, Platforming, Racing and Extreme, for $.99 apiece. Really, the Mega Pack is the way to go if you're looking to invest.

This is completely optional, though, and the game does give you plenty of opportunity to play around with it before dropping a single penny. It's more than fair.

How do I take part in the online leaderboards in Jet Car Stunts 2?

The game gives you the option to sign up for a True Axis log-in to compete against others, and you can also throw around challenges via Facebook once you log in. These are completely optional, though, and not required if you want to play through it. It depends how competitive you are.

3

Do I need to pause the game to restart in Jet Car Stunts 2?

Nope. There's a restart button located in the top right corner of the screen. Quick and convenient.
