Word Monsters Cheats And Tips
Word Monsters, the latest from the Rovio Stars team, is one of those quirky puzzle games that will grow on you. You're asked to clear a playfield of words that tie into a subject as quickly as possible, simply by drawing your finger over them. As you do this, the letters represented as cookies will get devoured, leaving you one step closer to completing the stage.
Here are some tips to help you get started on a cookie quest!
How do I play Word Monsters?
The goal is to eliminate all the letters on the playfield in the quickest time possible. However, it's not as simple as highlighting every word. Some puzzles require you to remove certain words in order to access new ones. Otherwise, the letters won't be removed and you'll have to start all over again.
Once you achieve the proper time for clearing the playfield, you'll earn stars at the end of each stage. Earning three stars will unlock the next difficulty level, going from bronze to silver to gold. Each level, as you might guess, becomes progressively harder, so work on those word search skills!
How do I use power-ups and Boosters in Word Monsters?
Power-ups and boosters provide some assistance when it comes to clearing a round. These include a quick hint with Get Hint, the ability to Freeze Time so you can clear words quickly and the option to combine both.
These power-ups and boosters cost two cookies apiece, or three if you use them together. You start out with 10 cookies, but if you want more, you'll need to buy them in the shop.
How does the Central League work in Word Monsters?
The Central League allows you to compete with fellow players and earn additional Achievements that get added to your Gamerscore. It costs 125 coins to unlock, which you'll need to purchase, but if you're a competitive player, it's definitely worth it.
How do I change my monster's appearance in Word Monsters?
Visit the My Monster tab at the bottom of the main menu. You can change various things on your creature, including body shape, arms, legs, facial features and more. Some are free-of-charge, but others will cost you coins, which you'll need to purchase from the shop.
It's best to stick with the basic stuff first before investing cash in the more advanced accessories.
How many levels are available in Word Monsters?
There are a total of six levels at first, with three star tiers to choose from. Additional categories, like Famous Female Singers and Units, cost coins to unlock, ranging from 249 to 749 coins. See how you fare with the basic categories first before investing in the others.
Do I need to purchase anything in Word Monsters?
If you're a casual player, you don't need to purchase much. If you fail a round or don't meet the proper time, you can start over again for no charge. However, if you want to unlock additional parts for monsters, special themes for your playfield and cookies to provide extra boosters and power-ups, then you'll need to fork over some cash.
Coins vary anywhere from $0.99 (for 450) to $49.99 (for 35,000), while cookies can be obtained between $0.99 (for 10) to $99.99 (for 1,500).
Again, get into the basics before you decide to make a huge investment.
