Skyline Skaters Cheats And Tips
Skyline Skaters is a new endless running game from Tactile Entertainment where you'll skate across rooftops, avoiding obstacles and collecting coins along the way. It's a pretty simple game to play, with one-button touch control.
That said, it never hurts to have a few extra tips to help you get the most from your runs.
How do you collect coins in Skyline Skaters?
Coins will be stringed together as you run across the rooftops. All you need to do is collect as many as you can. If you collect all the coins available in a string, you'll earn a streak bonus, which will add a few more to your total.
When it comes to collecting them, don't forget you can jump and double jump. That means if you see some suspended high in the air, you can still reach them and time your jump to get across gaps. Be sure to go after the gold ones, because those are worth the most.
In addition, watch out for grind opportunities. These can multiply your coin count.
How do I avoid objects in Skyline Skaters?
Most of the time, objects are simple to see. You'll notice walls that you have to jump over, and you'll need to avoid falling into open gaps. Don't forget your double jump ability, as this will allow you to clear them with ease.
The police will launch missiles your way to stop your run. The key is to watch out for exclamation points that appear on the right side of the screen. Once you see these, double jump to get out of the rockets' way, or try an alternative path to avoid getting hit. Avoid them at all costs.
How does collecting letters work in Skyline Skaters?
Throughout the game, letters will be scattered on each stage. Pick up as many of these as you can. Eventually they'll spell a special word, like OLLIE or SKYLINE. Once completed, you'll initiate a super skate, where you'll launch high into the air and collect an abundant amount of coins. Your run ends after a few seconds, but it's very profitable, so it's vital that you collect these letters.
How do I level up in Skyline Skaters?
You do this by completing missions. There are three of these given to you at one time, and they vary. For instance, one asks you to get 2,000 feet, while another asks you to use a super boost power-up. As you complete these, you'll earn more coins and eventually add to a level up meter.
The more you level up, the more you'll be able to earn bucks in the game, which you can spend on continues and other items.
Are power-ups important in Skyline Skaters?
They're completely optional - you can still collect plenty of coins without spending a cent on them - but they're nice to have. The Super Boost is useful for getting you further into a level; the Magnet allows you to easily collect coins; and the Force Field will protect you from one hit, which could make all the difference with your run. Shop around and see what power-ups work best for you.
Do I need to pay for anything in Skyline Skaters?
Most of the game is set up on a fair free-to-play structure, although getting further into it may require purchasing a power-up. You'll find plenty of coins to buy them, but you'll need bucks to purchase new characters.
As mentioned before, you'll collect bucks by leveling up, but if you're impatient, you can buy them directly, ranging from 10 for $1.99 to 1,000 for $99.99. Additional board styles are also available for direct purchase, with the Ninja, UFO and Oldschool ranging from $1.99 to $4.99. We suggest sticking with what you have.
One last thing - don't forget to take advantage of the Facebook login. You'll unlock a new character, Mia, and earn 10 additional bucks.
