Trials Frontier Cheats And Tips
Trials Frontier is the mobile debut of the tricky motorcycle racing series from RedLynx and Ubisoft, which was previously released for Xbox 360 with two games, the original Trials HD and Trials Evolution. In the series, you play a motorbike rider traversing through insane obstacle courses, trying to beat the opposition and earn additional diamonds and parts to improve your ride. At the same time, you'll help a few citizens in a dusty western town, looking to deliver justice the only way you can - on a super bike.
Here are some tips to help you race through the game with ease.
How do I play Trials Frontier?
You guide your motorcycle through a series of side-scrolling stages, overcoming obstacles and making sure you don't crash as you race for the finish line. Along the way, you'll need to adjust your bike's trajectory to avoid crash landings, and occasionally perform front and back flips to impress certain citizens.
The courses are easy at first, giving you an idea how the game works. However, they'll pick up in difficulty over time, so you'll need to be careful about landings or jumping over certain obstacles.
Quick side note: you can always restart at the nearest checkpoint, though this can affect your overall finishing time for the level. If you need to, you can start the whole thing over again without paying a fee.
How do I earn medals in Trials Frontier?
There are three medals available - bronze, silver and gold. You'll earn the bronze from beating the course, but the silver and gold medals are harder to earn, requiring certain time requirements to achieve. Your best bet is to keep trying if you don't get them all the first time around - the game will usually tell you where you came up short in the stat screen.
How do I get new missions in Trials Frontier?
Visit the saloon. You'll run across a few townsfolk with favors to ask, such as impressing them with tricks, obtaining candy for a bratty child and battling the locals.
For good measure, you'll also interact with a local mechanic that will help upgrade your bike.
How do I upgrade my bike in Trials Frontier?
The garage is to the left of the saloon, and you'll be able to add new parts with the help of a mechanic. Most of the parts you'll earn by completing courses and spinning a prize wheel, but on occasion, you'll need to spend diamonds to upgrade certain items, like wheels and handlebars. They will help your overall performance.
Shop around and see how much parts cost. You'll earn a few diamonds by completing missions and winning them on the prize wheel, but you can always buy extra. More on that below.
How do I compare best leaderboard times in Trials Frontier?
The leaderboards add a great competitive advantage to the game, and by logging in with a free Uplay account, you'll be able to see how you measure up against others. Be sure to give it a try. It won't cost you a cent.
Do I need to pay for anything in Trials Frontier?
Each run will cost you gas, in which you'll have around 20 or so points to start. Each race is about five points, though your tank does refill as you level up by completing missions. You can also manually fill it up by spending 50 coins, or expand it to medium, big and huge tanks for 95, 470 or 925 diamonds. It's not worth it, though - you can coast by just fine on your 20-something points.
As for part upgrades, you can spend coins to obtain new ones, and add a couple of diamonds if you want to speed up installation time. You'll earn quite a bit of coinage over the course of each mission, but you can add more via direct purchase.
Coins vary from 100,000 for $4.99 to 2,800,000 for $99.99, while diamonds will run you 200 for $4.99 to 5,800 for $99.99. Try the game and see how the default items treat you before spending your cash. You should be able to ride a long time without spending any dough.
