R.B.I. Baseball 14 Cheats And Tips
If you grew up in the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) era, you might remember a game called R.B.I. Baseball. MLBAM brought it back as a new mobile release, with colorful new visuals and a trio of modes to play with. However, don't worry about gameplay - it's still the same joyous two-button affair you grew up with.
Here are some tips that'll have you swinging for the fences in no time.
Do you have any batter's tips for R.B.I. Baseball 14?
First, watch out for waving pitches. You won't be able to hit these. Just let them sail by for a ball. Second, try to get a bit lower in the battler's box. This will not only give you room to swing, but may provide a better opportunity to hit a home run out of the park. Last, if you see any base runners in good position to steal a base, tap on them and they'll be off running by the time the pitcher enters his motions. Don't hit it before, though, or it's an easy out.
Do you have any pitcher's tips for R.B.I. Baseball 14?
Like the original game, you can rely on one pitch that most AI batters will swing at, simply by holding Up on the virtual control pad and hitting the pitch button. Don't use this all the time, though, because sometimes the ball will fly loose and a batter will smack it. Mix up your pitches between fast and slow, and try to throw outside the lines every once in a while to see if you can fool the batter. Finally, watch out for pick-off men, because they may take a base before you can do anything about it.
Do you have any base-stealing tips for R.B.I. Baseball 14?
When you begin running around the bases, you'll see a diamond-shaped grid in the lower right corner of the screen. Use this to decide to go for extra bases or slide back if you see the ball coming back. In addition, the fielders aren't idiots. If you try to go for a steal or home base, they'll make every effort to stop you at the plate. Only go for it if you're absolutely sure.
Do you have any fielding tips for R.B.I. Baseball 14?
Fielding is rather easy, as you can keep tabs on the ball, including its distance, with a little silhouette that appears on the ground. However, if you need help, try turning on the Assisted option where the AI will control the fielders for you. This can't be recommended enough for rookie players.
What modes are available in R.B.I. Baseball 14?
There are only three - Exhibition, Season and Post-Season. Exhibition is a cut-and-dry one game affair, while Season can be expanded across a full season with your chosen MLB team; you won't be able to tweak player line-ups. As for Post-Season, it automatically puts you in the chase for the Pennant. Be sure to check all of these out, as they offer some great fun for baseball players.
How do I unlock retro jerseys in R.B.I. Baseball 14?
Keep chalking up wins. The better you perform with your team, the more uniforms you'll be able to unlock.
Do I need to pay for anything in R.B.I. Baseball 14?
No, the $4.99 fee pretty much gives you the whole game. Even though it doesn't have an online component outside of leaderboards, it is a lot of fun - especially if you grew up with the NES version.
