Blek Cheats And Tips
It's connect-the-dots for a new generation.
If you fondly remember old-school connect-the-dots games in activity books, then Blek is the iOS game for you. Your job is to connect colored dots on a playfield using a single moving line, which you draw. At first, it's relatively easy, but then you have black dots and other obstacles entering the picture, forcing you to rethink what lines have to be drawn to move on to the next stage.
There is a bit of strategy involved with Blek, but don't worry, we have the tips that will get you connected in no time.
How do I play Blek?
It's relatively simple, but there's a twist. Each stage has a certain number of dots that need to be connected with a line that you draw on the screen. The first two or so stages should have you nailing down this tactic in no time.
As stages progress, however, you'll need to be more strategic in drawing your line to avoid black dots. After drawing your initial line, it continues to follow the pattern you gave it all the way across the screen. Your job is to figure out the right pattern to put together so you avoid the obstacles while hitting every dot in succession.
What's the best way to avoid black dots in Blek?
They're usually scattered throughout the stage, in central areas where you can't just draw a straight line to collect the other dots. In this case, you'll want to try and draw curved lines. By doing so, you'll form a bouncing icon that should collect stray dots, while going over the black ones.
This can be tricky at first, but this is the sort of game where you don't get penalized for drawing too many lines. It's a learning process. Try to get the hang of what kind of arcs you're drawing and make them wide enough so you can go on a collecting spree without hitting the others.
Don't forget you're not just limited to bouncy lines. You can draw loops, squiggly lines and whatever else you think will connect the dots. Let your imagination run wild.
What if I can't connect all the dots on a stage in Blek?
Each stage has a solution to figure out - and sometimes one you can't plainly see. You can use the borders along the screen to direct your line if needed, in case the bouncing lines you design don't necessarily collect all the dots you need. Take your time and figure out a pattern that will work properly for collection, and then keep drawing your line until you get it right.
Again, you won't suffer any penalties trying to solve each stage. The goal here is to get through each stage in the most efficient way possible - or even by dumb luck, if you prefer - and then moving on to the next one. It can be frustrating at first, but when you figure out the solution, you'll feel a great sense of accomplishment.
Do I need to pay for anything in Blek?
The initial price right now is $0.99 -- $2 off the regular price - and that's all you need to pay for. The lack of microtransactions, along with the mounting challenge of later levels go a long way to justifying the price of this game. It's novel, original and a lot of fun.
