Official Sony PSP Site Launches
Containing information both new and old...
Sony Computer Entertainment America has finally launched the official website for its soon to be released handheld video game system, the PSP. Acting as a mini-feature for the PlayStation.com board, the official PSP site currently has only a few screenshots and gameplay details on upcoming titles available for the PSP.
Fortunately there does appear to be some ongoing plans for the site, with a growing list of announced PSP games and a PSP section on the site's special PlayStation video player.
The ever elusive Game Sharing feature is elaborated on in the PlayStation.com PSP FAQ, stating that the feature's purpose is to "share pieces of a game you have with another PSP system user wirelessly even if the other person does not have the same game." Although currently there are no confirmed US games to use Game Sharing, Japan's version of Namco Museum has been reported to include the feature.
Another outlined detail worth noting is the mention of the PSP's online functions, indicating that wireless Hotspots requiring you to login via a webpage for access will not be currently accessible to PSP system users.
Continue to check the official PSP site for future updates as the PSP nears its North American launch.
