Watch Dogs Companion ctOS Mobile: How To Play With Friends

Who thought arresting your friends could be so much fun?

Chicago is literally in the palm of your hand in the new companion app for Watch Dogs. Watch_Dogs Companion: ctOS Mobile allows you to connect and play live against any Watch_Dogs player logged into their console or PC game. It's your duty to stop criminals and hackers alike in their tracks. We put together a few tips and strategies for engaging your friends online.

How do I play Watch_Dogs Companion: ctOS Mobile with my friends?

As a ctOS Operative, you will have control of the Chicago Police and all ctOS devices across the city. Once you've logged in with your Uplay and Playstation Network credentials, you're accepted as a ctOS operative. At this time, you can add your friends by tapping on Contacts, then Add Contacts. Type in your friend's handle for Xbox Live, Playstation Network or Uplay. This will allow you to play with or against your friends on PC, Xbox or Playstation consoles. Coordinate on a time to play and connect via Quick Match to get the crime fighting started.

What are the best resources to stop my friends?

Having direct access to the Chicagos Police force and ctOS network will come in handy when tasked to thwart vigilante Aiden Pearce. To stop your online friends, manipulate Chicago's various ctOS devices and Police force to make life difficult. Quickly acquire heat points by staying in sight of your friend and use the sniper to soften him or her up before calling out the boys in blue. Use your acquired heat points to enable ctOS devices like traffic lights and blockers to manipulate the environment.

What can my friends do in the Watch Dogs Companion App?

Friends can damage the helicopter by shooting or hacking it. Quickly Repair your copter by tapping the + symbol to Repair. Repairing the copter allows you to immediately regain control of your helicopter. It takes a few seconds and costs heat points, but you'll get back to maximum durability.

What are good strategies for taking out friends?

In order to manipulate ctOS devices and police units, devices must be within the Wi-Fi radius of the helicopter. Telegraph your friends' movements to activate ctOS devices with enough time to damage them. Activating a traffic light or blocker prior to your friends passing through the device is necessary. It's ineffective to activate devices as they pass by because it takes a few seconds to arm.

Dispatch police units by tapping the + symbol on the patrol car. Drag and drop the Patrol unit to the desired location in the blue Wi-Fi radius. An active dispatch will cost you heat points. Using stronger units cost more points, but they're the most effective. You can always recall your units tapping the tool bar and selecting cancel to regain some heat points. Police units are removed from resources when they're too far away from your opponent. Dispatch units again by tapping the icon within the time limit to save your unit or dragging the unit closer to your target for a more immediate take down.
