Best Star Wars Games For iPhone, iPad And Android
The Star Wars movies continue to entertain millions of fans - yes, including the prequel trilogy - and that hoopla will pick up once again when Star Wars: Episode VII releases late next year. For good measure, Star Wars games have kept up the pace, with a number of diverse and impressive efforts to entertain us on the go.
In case you missed out on your favorites, or need general recommendations to please your inner Darth Vader, here are five Star Wars games that you should definitely check out.
Star Wars: Tiny Death Star (free)
Fans of NimbleBit's work on mobile will be quite pleased with Tiny Death Star, the company's latest collaboration with Disney and LucasArts. In it, you'll put fine touches on your own battle station, while occasionally putting co-workers in order (Force chokes, in comedic fashion) and buying new goods for improvements. Between the delightful 8-bit style visuals and the charming (and slightly hilarious) elevator muzak soundtrack, you're bound to have fun with his one.
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic ($4.99)
Years ago, BioWare teamed with LucasArts to produce the masterful role-playing adventure, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, which was a massive hit on PC and Xbox. Somehow, the folks at Asypr Media captured all of its goodness into a mobile port, and while a couple of corners were cut in terms of quality, the gist of the adventure remains intact - which is good news for Jedi and Sith fans alike. Definitely give this a download.
