Dungeons & Dragons PSP Revealed
A slew of new details on Atari's latest
Atari revealed Dungeons & Dragons: Tactics today for the PSP, marking the franchise's first iteration on a next-gen portable system.
Developed by Kuju Entertainment, the turn-based action title will have players forming a party of six adventurers to take on a quest through a variety of dangerous environments. The game's story tells of a mortal child caught in a conflict between two warring dragons, each competing for godhood. The alignment you choose throughout your quest will have a significant affect on the story, allowing players to decide whether they wish to be good or evil.
All of the series standard character classes will be available, including Barbarian, Bard, Cleric, Druid, Fighter Monk, Paladin, Ranger, Rogue, Sorcerer and Wizard, along with five Prestige Classes and two Psionic classes; the Psion and the Psychic Warrior.
Furthermore, the game will also make extensive use of the PSP's wireless capabilities, providing two different multiplayer options -- Co-operative and Deathmatch -- as well as a promise of downloadable content planned for the future.
Dungeons & Dragons: Tactics for the PSP is currently scheduled for release sometime in 2007. Chances are we'll see it at E3 next week, so stay tuned.
