6 Cases That Will Make You Upgrade Your iPhone
If you haven't already upgraded, you might be considering it after checking out these cases.
Maybe you've already upgraded or maybe you're on the fence, but with the release of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, manufacturers are going back to the drawing board and we are seeing the first wave of some new and really cool case designs. Hopefully, some of those on the fence will be inspired to go ahead and take the plunge after checking out a few of our favorite new cases.
Incipio [Performance] Armband (iPhone 6 only)
One of the biggest drawbacks to having a larger device is having somewhere to put it. Sure, it might fit easily in a purse or a pants pocket, but where are you going to put it when you run? Incipio answers this with the [Performance] armband. The [Performance] is made of lightweight and water-resistant materials that will protect your iPhone without being too bulky. It also includes a pocket for keys, IDs, or credit cards, and your iPhone's screen will be protected by a clear touch window that will still allow you to use the phone.
Move over Otterbox, the Griffin Survivor is an absolutely rugged case, featuring 4 layers of protection with a foam-lined polycarb frame wrapped in silicone and a snap in screen protector to offer even further protection. The case covers the volume and power buttons and the Lightning connector, headphone port, and hold switch are covered by hinged plugs, and is available in 6 different colors. If you're someone who works in a rough environment or just really clumsy, this case is for you.
Grovemade Maple & Leather
On the more luxury side of things is the Grovemade Maple & Leather iPhone case. The frame of this case is lovingly crafted out of Oregon Claro Walnut and the cover is made out of vegetable-tanned leather. You can also put that big new screen to use for multimedia as the case also doubles as a stand.
Available for pre-order: $129 for the iPhone 6, $139 for the iPhone 6 Plus
Spigen Tough Armor S
Another great tough case for the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus is the Spigen Tough Armor S. This case has the added bonus of a kickstand which supports 2 angles. The Tough Armor S features air cushion corners and anti-stretch TPU, as well as a polycarbonate backplate. This case is great for those who want a little bit of armor on their iPhones but don't want the bulk of the Grffin Survivor.
Alpatronix BX 140 Battery Case (iPhone 6 only)
Although Mophie is the golden standard for backup battery cell phone cases, we find ourselves a more than a little partial to the Alpatronix BX140. This case features a 3100mAh built-in rechargable battery and is super thin and looks great. The case recharges with a microUSB cable which can be both a boon, as it increases your options for getting a charge on your iPhone, and a bane as it's more cords you have to carry around.
Available for preorder: $45.95 for the iPhone 6
Case-Mate Carbon Alloy Case
This case blends the very cool aesthetics of carbon fiber with metal to create a lovely cross-hatch pattern on the back. The case is very slim and features a good amount of impact resistance. This is a great case for those that want a slim look or something a little different.
