Things We Want From the iPad Air 2
Right now we've seen what could possibly be a whole bevy of details concerning the iPad Air 2 way ahead of the October 16 event date. If what has already been leaked is true, we could be looking at the thinnest tablet yet, and of course the thinnest iPad yet. But it's likely that we've only scratched the surface, so while everyone's speculating, why not have some fun of our own? Here are four things we'd like to see from the new iPad Air 2.
Gold and silver are so hackneyed and basic. With the iPhone 5c's color range and the gorgeous hues of the iPod before it, you'd expect to see some awesome colors that go far beyond "Space Grey" and the gold we see touted everywhere. Or better yet, interchangeable cases. That could be a game-changer for someone looking for a tablet where aesthetics are key. It's not that much to ask in actuality, is it?
More screen real estate
Sure, thinner is great, but what about when it comes to having more room on the front of the device to maneuver? A bigger, better, more efficient Retina screen would be infinitely more useful than aesthetic improvements, that's for sure, and it would be nice to see the entire device heightened rather than flattened and squished, a la the iPhone 6 Plus, which is no doubt heading in the right direction.
Apple Pay integration
While this might seem like it could make the tablet a little too unwieldy for some, incorporating Apple Pay into the iPad Air 2 would of course be a boon for Apple and its fledgling payment service. Allowing even casual users to pay for their purchases with their iPad Air 2 as they read the morning news or flip through the latest issue of their favorite magazine.
Something new and unique
It's time for Apple to innovate with the iPad Air 2 now as well, considering the giant has already moved forward with making big alterations on behalf of its flagship phone, and now it's the iPad's turn. Let's see something that can only happen with the iPad Air, like special magazine issues, content bonuses, or even a new peripheral. What are you waiting for, Apple? The sky's the limit!
